*Brings to mind past online technology programs such as Oregon Trail, or Carmen Sandiego, that can now be “brought to life” on the interactive whiteboard.
*Fufills the need for interactive teaching methods

Reverses

  1. Great job as always Lauren. I did not consider the chalkboard as an obsolete piece of technology. It is because I view the interactive whiteboard as much more than an upgrade of the chalkboard. When the IWB is used without the interactive aspect then yes I can see the direction you shared. I like the examples of programs you listed in the retrieval quadrant. It is the resources at your fingertips which is the next evolution. I have a similar thought about the reverse. I think an avatar component in with a holographic component and AI would really be cutting edge.

  2. I agree, it has replaced the chalk board. It is very interactive for classrooms to use for teaching and learning. All resources are stored and displayed on the board. I also agree that personal computers for each student that is liked with the teacher computer will be used in the future.
